New year’s Eve is the time to get ready for the coming year. It’s a time to celebrate and reflect on the past year. It’s a time to make merry and usher in 20013 and all that it brings, the known and the surprises.

The big question on everyone’s mind is …. How much snow will we have for Christmas. Well not much if any so the forecast tell us. All we need is enough for Santa’s sleigh to land on. It’s pretty rough landing on non-snow covered surfaces especially for the reindeer.

It would be nice to have at least a dusting.

Just 12 days to go. Christmas trees have gone up hydro bills are increasing because of the lights that brighten up the night. It’s all worth it especially for the kids one last wish I hope that we have snow for Christmas. After that I have mixed emotions. Drive safe over this Holiday season.

Boats are all put away, docks and walkways secured. Cottages are cleaned and put to bed till April when work starts again. We are still busy preparing for next year but that will soon end for a while. yes we are preparing for Christmas and New year. Outside lights decorate Trent House in a week or so we’ll put up  the tree and set up the village under it’s boughs. Yes complete with trains that snake through the snow covered village. This is my favorite time of year. Still haven’t started Christmas shopping.

Time to finalize the list and get everything done. Why wait till the last minute to get things done, do it now.
